Day 1 Arrive in Delhi - Haridwar (222 kms |approx 4 ½ - 5 hour drive)

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be received and driven to Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India. After reaching Haridwar, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ceremony performed on the banks of the sacred River Ganges. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2 Haridwar – Mussoorie – Barkot (200 kms|approx 7 - 8 hour drive)

Early in the morning, depart from Haridwar and drive towards Barkot. En route, enjoy a scenic halt at Mussoorie, the “Queen of Hills,” and visit the beautiful Kempty Falls. After lunch, continue your journey through picturesque mountain roads and valleys. Upon arrival in Barkot by evening, check in to the hotel, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 3 Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 km drive & 6 km trek one way)

After an early breakfast, drive to Jankichatti or Phoolchatti, from where the 6 km trek to Yamunotri begins. Pilgrims may undertake the trek on foot or opt for horse or doli services at their own expense. At Yamunotri, take a holy dip at Jamunabai Kund, perform rituals at Divya Shila, and seek blessings at the sacred Yamunotri Temple. Devotees may also cook rice at the Surya Kund hot springs as prasad. After darshan, trek back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Yamunotri Temple – Built in the 19th century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur, the temple has been rebuilt twice.
  • Surya Kund – A hot spring known for its high-temperature waters, used for cooking rice as an offering.
  • Divya Shila – A revered rock pillar worshipped before entering the temple
Day 4 Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 kms |approx 4 hour drive)

Following breakfast, proceed towards Uttarkashi, a serene town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. En route, visit the sacred Prakateshwar Cave. On arrival in Uttarkashi, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit the revered Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and known for its massive iron trident. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 kms | 3-4 hour drive each way)

Early in the morning, drive to Gangotri, passing through the scenic Harsil Valley and alongside the Bhagirathi River, offering breathtaking Himalayan views. Upon arrival, perform prayers at the Gangotri Temple, visit the Submerged Shivling, and witness the sacred Kedar Ganga Sangam. After completing darshan, return to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Gangotri Temple: An 18th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, built near the sacred stone where King Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva. The temple, made of white granite, is 20 ft high.
  • Submerged Shivling: A natural rock Shivling in the river, believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva received the Ganga in his matted locks. Visible during winter when water levels recede.
  • Kedar Ganga Sangam: Located about 100 yards from the Gangotri Temple, where the Kedar Ganga merges with the Bhagirathi River.
Day 6 Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (220 kms| approx 8-9 hour drive)

After an early breakfast, depart for Guptkashi, driving through beautiful mountain terrain and river valleys. A late lunch break is scheduled en route at Molgarh. Continue the journey along the Mandakini River and reach Guptkashi by evening. Check in to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 Guptkashi – Sonprayag (30 kms | approx 2 hour drive) - Kedarnath Trek (16 kms one way)

Early in the morning, drive to Sonprayag. From here, begin the sacred trek to Kedarnath (3,585 meters). Pilgrims may undertake the trek on foot or hire doli services at their own cost. Upon arrival, explore the ancient Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, believed to have been rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya over a thousand years ago. Spend the evening soaking in the divine atmosphere before retiring for an overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 8 Kedarnath ((16 kms one way trek) - Sonprayag - Guptkashi (30 kms | approx 2 hour drive)

After early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, begin the return trek to Sonprayag and drive back to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for rest or light local exploration. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 9 Guptkashi – Joshimath- Badrinath (200 kms| approx 7 hour drive)

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath, enjoying panoramic views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, attend the sacred Aarti at Badrinath Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Badrinath

Badrinath, nestled between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, lies along the Alaknanda River with the majestic Neelkanth Peak as its backdrop. According to legend, the site was once covered with wild berries, giving it the name 'Badri Van.' It is one of the Char Dhams and a revered pilgrimage site.

Nearby attractions:

  • Tapt Kund – Natural thermal springs for ritual baths before entering the temple.
  • Mana Village – The last Indian village before Tibet, inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe.
  • Vyas Gufa – Believed to be the cave where Ved Vyas composed the Mahabharata.
  • Bhim Pul – A natural stone bridge over the Saraswati River, said to have been placed by Bhim.

Charanpaduka – A rock with the footprints of Lord Vishnu.

Day 10 Badrinath – Joshimath - Pipalkoti - Rudraprayag (180kms| approx 6-7 hour drive)

Begin the day with early morning darshan at Badrivishal Temple and perform rituals at Brahmakapal. Later, visit nearby attractions such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and Bhim Pul. Continue the journey via Joshimath and Pipalkoti to Rudraprayag, the holy confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. Check in to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Joshimath, perched above the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga Rivers, is home to one of the four Maths established by Adi Shankaracharya. It also houses the famous Nar Singh Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Rudraprayag marks the confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda Rivers, adding spiritual significance to the journey.

Day 11 Rudraprayag – Rafting Shivpuri - Rishikesh Excursion - Haridwar (155 kms| approx 7- 8 hour drive )

After breakfast, drive to Shivpuri for optional river rafting on the Ganges. Continue onward to Rishikesh, visiting renowned spiritual landmarks such as Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Bharat Mandir, Parmarth Niketan, and Sivananda Ashram. Later, proceed to Haridwar and check in to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 12 Haridwar – Delhi (220 kms drive 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi for your onward journey by railway station or airport, carrying with you cherished memories of the sacred Char Dham Yatra.
